Salus

Salus was an ancient Roman goddess who personified security, stability, prosperity and wellbeing. The work we do at Salus, with you, aims to provide this for you and your children.

Parental separation and divorce can be an extremely difficult and confusing time for parents and for children. By taking the approach of putting the children at the centre of all assessments we cut through the parental conflict and are able to provide an independent view of what they need, above what each parent may prefer.

Our approach to Parenting Coordination maintains this focus whilst walking with you to move towards a conflict free future. This makes space for you to continue to provide a safe and supportive future for your children enhances their wellbreng

Tara B Sheehan

Tara is a professional Social Worker with extensive experience working with children and families in NSW and QLD. Tara has worked therapeutically, and as a family coach to apply resilience led, evidence based interventions in her work to keep children safe from harm. She commenced her work supporting the Family Court process for separated families in 2022 as a Panel Family Consultant (formally referred to as a Reg 7) and private Single Expert Report Writer.

She has worked alongside paediatricians providing psychosocial assessments, led teams of allied health staff and psychologists in building strengths in individuals and families and as a facilitator of Circle of Security and Marte Meo, has a keen interest and skill set in assessing and managing attachment issues.

Tara's work in the foster care sector, assessing the suitability of guardianship and adoption applications finely tuned her skills to evaluate what children need and create solutions to meet them. This coupled with her formal study of Law at RMIT, led her to working with families who are struggling to make joint decisions about the future and wellbeing of their children after separation.

Tara completed three years of practical and theoretical study with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, through the Australian Childhood Foundation, in 2015. This training provides Tara with a unique set of skills to assess and work with individuals who have experienced trauma and support them towards recovery.
